About the Product
Oudingyan's Super Clear Watery Cat Eye (白开水猫眼, literally "plain water" cat eye) is a glass-clear magnetic gel made to stay bright. Oudingyan describes it as no-graying and no-darkening, so extensions and natural nails keep their see-through clarity while a soft band of light floats on the surface under the magnet.
Four sheer shades come in fine or coarse magnetic powder: Fine White (mirror moonlight white), Coarse White (bright white flash), Fine Gold (soft champagne gold) and Coarse Gold (diamond-dust sparkle). Wear them alone for a watery, glassy nail or layer them over any base color. Myrtle 03 (fine) and Myrtle 04 (coarse), from Oudingyan's six-shade Myrtle series, put the same watery cat eye over a sheer neutral base. Fine White also comes in a 30 g salon size.
How to Apply
- Buff the nail, apply your base gel and cure for 30–60 seconds.
- Brush on a thin layer of the cat eye gel and hold a magnet close to the nail to draw the band of light into place.
- Cure for 30–60 seconds. The gel is richly pigmented, so build up 2–3 thin layers rather than one thick one, which can wrinkle.
- Finish with top coat and cure for 60–120 seconds.
- Cure according to the product and lamp instructions; this gel cures under UV or LED light.
